HAVE YOU HAD LOW BACK PAIN FOR LONGER THAN 3 MONTHS?
Keryl is working with researchers at NeuRA (Neuroscience Research Australia) and the University of New South Wales, on a Commonwealth funded randomised clinical trial, RESOLVE, which aims to reduce
New research shows that there are changes in the brain when someone has pain for a long time. It is these changes in the brain that researchers believe makes recovery from pain slower and more difficult.
Using this knowledge of the brain and how it changes with pain, the researchers from NeuRA, led by Associate Professor James McAuley, have developed two new programs for the treatment of chronic low back pain.
To determine if these new treatments are effective in reducing chronic low back pain, the researchers are comparing them in a randomised clinical trial, RESOLVE.
They are currently enrolling patients in their trial to compare these new treatment programs.
If you have had low back pain for longer than 3 months, are between the ages of 18 and 70, and you are interested in participating in the trial, please contact the RESOLVE research team on email:firstname.lastname@example.org or phone: 9399 1627.
